GYG Round 4 June 2005 Race Report

Just as the Cadets had earlier, Minimax provided an amazing sting in the tail. The heats had again been taken by three different drivers, Alexander O`Sullivan, Amy Scarisbrick and Ryan Singleton and it was these three drivers who stormed away from the rest of the pack in the final. Singleton and O`Sullivan were having a real joust, although it was Singleton who held the advantage for virtually all the race, with Scarisbrick a kart length back watching events carefully. Into the last lap, the pressure was on with Scarisbrick now really joining the party, although coming into the final turn, Singleton still had the advantage, then in the run up to the line, the slightest of contact from O`Sullivan forced him wide, allowing O`Sullivan to slip through for an amazing victory and, to add insult to injury, Scarisbrick also nipped in to take second spot by no more than a nose cone.
