GYG Round 8 October 2005 Race ReportNext up came the Minimax final and this championship too is
providing an excellent four-way battle. Amy Scarisbrick leads, but
Alex O`Sullivan is closing in fast, with Oliver Clayton and Tom
Wrigley still not out of the equation and ready to pounce on any
slip ups. It has to be said though, although having raced in fewer
meetings than the others, O`Sullivan really is the one they all have
to stop. Having won the September meeting, he once again simply
looked quicker than anyone else, taking to heats to the one by
Wrigley, then going on to totally dominate the final, getting away
well and soon putting space between himself and his rivals to record
a flawless lights to flag victory by almost six seconds from Roy
Anderson who just managed to hold off the fast finishing Amy
Scarisbrick in third. So still all to play for in the final round,
but O`Sullivan is certainly in the box seat. |
