Welcome to
amyracing.com
Amy Scarisbrick, 18, from Scarisbrick in Lancashire has been
competing in Junior kart racing since the age of 12. Amy started
racing in the Honda Cadet class at Rowrah in Cumbria progressing
into TKM and Rotax Junior Minimax, before advancing to
senior kart racing in 2006 in the relatively new Formula Blue class.
The 2005 season has certainly been Amy’s best season to date as she
competed in the Manchester & Buxton Kart Club (MBKC) championships
at Three Sisters, Wigan and Glan-y-Gors Park (GYG), North Wales,
finishing both Championships as the highest female driver for the
third year in succession.
Amy had wins and trophies at both GYG and Three Sisters finishing
3rd overall in the GYG Championship and a creditable 5th at Wigan
despite having a confidence denting accident early on in the season
on the infamous Valley Circuit, which she subsequently won at the October meeting.

For the 2006 season, Amy stepped-up a gear to compete in the 750 Motor
Club’s
Championship in race prepared Citroen Saxo VTR cars giving 14 to 17
year olds an opportunity to progress up the Motorsport ladder. The
championship was contested over 10 rounds at Brands Hatch, Silverstone, Oulton Park and Donington
Park, providing Amy with great experience in competing in a Saloon
car series.
Last year, Amy took up the huge challenge of racing her Citroen Saxo
VTR in the highly competitive Stock Hatch Championship against an
experienced field of over 40 drivers on circuits such as Cadwell
Park which she had never previously visited. The achievement of
respectable results in her racing career so far provides Amy with a
bright racing future.
